Power Hour

Power Hour: Making Minutes Count, a homework-help program, encourages Club members to become self-directed learners through daily homework help and tutoring.

Designed specifically to help youth and teens with homework.  Dedicated youth development professionals and volunteers supervise each session and help youth members complete their assignments for the day. When they finish their work, they may choose to participate in a variety of other engaging and educational activities to develop their skills even further.

Power Hour is a great opportunity for kids and teens to get their homework completed in a quiet place with support from the trained, caring staff at a Boys & Girls Club.

Lifting the Law is a program for our teens sponsored by @OtisElevatorCo & @UConnLaw. This popular program is offered to teens to learn about a career in law, taught by Otis and UConn law students. Thank you for our partnership and Happy National Elevator Day!

Trinity College Club members were able to experience March Madness at the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament at Trinity College on Saturday night. Some members were asked to be “ball kids” during the game. What a great experience. Thank you @trinitycollege!
